Hi, I'm Christian, and I've been working as a software developer for 2 decades.

At the moment I am a full-time Ruby developer at PayPal/Braintree.

I'm passionate about writing clean code and learning how to organize my work better and how to make a team perform the best for each project. My varied and extensive experience means I rarely run into surprises in my work. I know the importance of communication and rapid feedback and how to adapt to the unexpected.

Some of the projects I've worked on:

• Maintained a high performance ad-bidding platform, had to handle DDoS attacks, we made many performance improvements from my own ideas
• Built a queue system for uploading videos to the Brightcove platform, integrated with the Drupal CMS
• Built a payment system using the Authorize.net API on top of CodeIgniter with HMVC extensions
• Worked on the largest news website in Argentina, serving millions of users, mostly building Drupal modules

Back-end development experience:

• PHP 7, I have a Zend PHP 5.3 certification
• MySQL database design, query and server optimization, worked on sites with thousands of concurrent users
• NoSQL experience using both MongoDB and Redis
• Java backend with Spring & Maven

Front-end development experience:

• Angular v1.3 development, build tools, unit testing
• jQuery and jQuery UI, form validation, AJAX
• Streamlined development with Bower and Grunt
• Strong general MVC framework architecture knowledge

Server, network, and hosting experience:

• Linux and Windows environments
• Ubuntu, Debian, CentOS and OpenBSD experience
• Apache configuration and optimization
• Bash, Python and Perl shell scripting
• Rsync, SSH, FTP for deployment
