Bioinformatician / Data Scientist / Backend Developer / DevOps Engineer

I am a backend engineer and analyst at the Krembil Institute in Toronto. I am a commiter and member of the Technical Steering Committee for JanusGraph Distributed Graph Database, an open source project hosted at the Linux Foundation. I graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Bioinformatics & Computational Biology and Molecular Genetics & Microbiology from the University of Toronto. I practice data mining, data science, and machine learning. I enjoy reading papers to understand what "state-of-the-art" means in fields that excite me.

DevOps was the answer. We found we could provision our accelerators, rollout and revert updates or patches, diversify subgroups of servers to better suit their purpose, and containerize when appropriate.

I often feel like a deaf-dumb-and-blind man trying to set up all this heavenly tech - could have used Thammy's third eye for this stuff many a time...
