I came to software engineering from different industries with a valuable insight: to learn something quickly, do not be too generous in your time budget. Short deadlines, if appropriately handled, foster a host of great and self-perpetuating habits. During my professional programming adventures, this experience has again been instrumental for my apparently easy navigation through a wide range of technologies. Once an outsider, I understand the struggles of learners and am able to tailor my work shops for my colleagues and client teams from their perspective. I fully enjoyed their aha moments when they successfully overcame challenges which were once thought unbearable hard without external help.
