I'm founder of StarterSquad, a successful international team of freelance developers. StarterSquad is a distributed community that builds tech startups.

After having worked for large consulting firms such as Capgemini and Accenture, I've moved towards growing businesses, like SpringSource (now part of VMWare), and Xebia, a high quality international consulting, training and product company started from the Netherlands and with branches in the US, France, India.

One of my main strengths is building teams of software developers, in distributed environments. At Xebia and Capgemini I was the lead developer for several successful distributed teams and delivered software for both startups and enterprises. Being able to build successful distributed teams allows me to generate great value for money with StarterSquad. I apply the same skill for StarterSquad's clients to build their teams while helping them transform into a fully equipped business.

My golden rule: "If you can't verify that it works, you have no business building it."
