I have experience working with docker at development level, creating, and pulling images from docker hub in order to virtualize my development environment. I usually create a docker-compose file with all my images needed to develop an application. For example if I will use Mysql, Java, and angular I will create one image for mysql, one for each microservice and other for the front end, then I will join them together with docker-compose, so in this way I can take my images with me and recreate my development environment at any time.
