I'm a full stack software engineer, technical writer and computer science educator. I enjoy testing, debugging, refactoring, application design, maintaining projects and teaching. My primary technologies are JavaScript, React, Express (PERN stack), Playwright, Puppeteer, Python, Flask and C. See my [Stack Overflow tags](https://stackoverflow.com/users/6243352/ggorlen?tab=tags) for more technologies ordered roughly by my interest and experience. In addition to Stack Overflow, I'm active on [Code Review Stack Exchange](https://codereview.stackexchange.com/users/171065/ggorlen). Feel free to peek at a few of these reviews to get a sense of the insights I can offer your code. For further information, visit my [Codementor FAQ](https://ggorlen.glitch.me/codementor). Hi, my name is Francisco, and I'm grateful for the opportunity to help you. I love playing and working with technology, and I still remember with joy the day when I ran my very first Fortran program—a lifetime ago. I started with Fortran IV G/H on IBM /370 mainframes in 1975, then moved on to Cobol, Basic, PL/I, ASM/370, Algol, Pascal, Lisp, ASM x86, C, dBase, Clipper, C++, Mathematica, REXX, VB, VBA, HTML & CSS, SQL, VB .Net, C# .Net, PHP, Javascript, Python, and others. I haven't stopped yet. Within Information Technology, I have done it all: from scientific programming to business systems; from operating systems (drivers and internals) to compiler development; from websites and online applications to automated trading systems; from macro languages' automation routines to neural networks and other machine learning algorithms; and many other things. I love learning new paradigms and have a very broad range of interests. Being older than most people around here affords me something invaluable: experience. And of that, I have a lot. Please, allow me to share it with you. Some of my most recent public work can be seen at the following websites: www.solcentral.com.br, fws.fortuna.com.br, and www.fortuna.com.br. I'm looking forward to meeting you.

“This guy has an extremely intuitive understanding of assembly. He helped me build a function that I couldn't quite fathom on my own yet. He thinks quickly, but will answer questions just as quickly and the answer will be thorough. It's difficult to imagine him struggling with any topic around computing. He should probably charge more.“

“YoungGi was very helpful and knowledgeable about my problem I didn't get a solution but it was not YoungGi's fault as it was due to C++ standards now I know what options I can choose which before I didn't so it's a development decision.“
