Website: https://linktr.ee/YoKulGuy --- I'm a realist, aspiring general system thinker, and software craftsman. Despite specialists giving much contribution and productivity to society, general system thinkers and their general system thinking can help us solve the second-order effect of human creation. As a society, we build civilization; we build skyscrapers, aeroplanes, gadgets, and all the advancements in technology, but we overlooked the second-order effect of our creation. Global warming and gadget addictions are an example to name a few. The more people adopt general system thinking, the more we can achieve a better society and brings our world to the next thousand years. I do research and craft code as my way of expressing my idea and belief. I crafted a scientific computation tool and instrument to help researchers do better research when I was in college. I'm currently leading a team in a startup called Mekari to empower businesses in Indonesia. I previously worked at Midtrans, enabling software developers to be more productive and better empower commerce through technology. I write production code in Elm, JavaScript, Bash, Ruby, and Java. In 2020 I did functional programming on Elm and built a community around it. Feel free to reach out to me if you are an Elm user!

I'm a NET Core developer to the bones. My co-workers always describe me as a having integrity, reliable person and I am able to create a trustful environment where candid feedback can flow freely. I took the biggest step from the last job, where I was hired to review and audit the code and the technical solution of the product under development. My contribution to this project was pushing the product from an intentional state into something that created pleasure and happiness for nearly every stakeholder. In addition, In my free time, I'm engaged in an open-source community. My contribution ranges from explaining, PR reviews, fixing bugs, and creating new features with the result of creating one of the most loved solutions in that space (or niche).

I can help you with the following: -> Design/Implement large scale distributed systems and dive deep into concurrency, communication, availability, scalability, etc. Rather than just knowing Kafka, Redis and Cassandra, it's important to understand what system features you need to put these building blocks together. -> Data structures and algorithms (Leetcode, Topcoder, etc), low level system design (object oriented programming, design patterns) and high level system design (distributed systems, etc). -> Well structured plan and mentorship (short/long term) for interview preparation, conduct mock interviews for software engineers and senior software engineers. I have extensive experience in tech interviews, as a candidate as well as being part of panel team. -> Mentoring for growing into senior software engineering roles. -> Project building (end to end). -> Pivoting from another domain/career into software engineering. -> Other tech topics that you might be interested in (AWS, Kafka, Redis, Databases, etc). About me: I write software and work with distributed systems day-in and day-out. I have worked at Qualcomm in the area of smart vehicles. I have been involved with startups like Dailyhunt to build backend systems end to end; which could scale to the order of 50k+ requests a second. Feel free to block something on my calendar: https://calendly.com/ramantrehan/30min. Kindly ping me on chat when you do so. My Leetcode profile: https://leetcode.com/u/code_crafter123/
