I believe the barrier to entry for many beginning developers is nailing down the fundamentals, and that's what I'm here to help with. The fundamentals aren't necessarily the hardest to grasp, but "unconscious competence" can often blind more senior developers to their existence. As a result, their explanation tends to be omitted from most tutorials, replaced instead with words like "just", "of course", and "trivially". I'm sure I've been guilty of these omissions myself, but when I have a mentee in front of me that's stuck, I'm dogged in my pursuit to identify where the gaps in their knowledge lie, and how to forever sew them shut. And because this road can be a long and difficult one, I also know that it helps to have a friend by your side through the journey; so more than just helping to navigate new concepts and technical issues, I want to serve as moral support for others who are now where I once was. Through the entire journey, but especially at the beginning, I think having this support can make or break, and I don't want to see anyone broken. As for me, I love learning languages, both programming and natural. When it comes to human languages, I can both read and converse in Japanese, but I'm currently focused on increasing my vocabulary in hopes of comprehending more complicated subject matter. In the world of programming, I love Ruby, tolerate JavaScript (*grin*), and am currently most interested in functional languages. Previously I had been using Elixir quite a bit, but at the moment ML-style languages like Haskell, Elm, and PureScript have been holding most of my attention. Things I'd particularly love to help you with include: * Haskell (getting started or exploring new concepts) * Elm and/or JavaScript (building in-browser applications) * Ruby (getting started or leveling up) * Rails (picking projects, implementing features, exploring libraries, etc.) * web development in general (front- or back-end) If any of this sounds like what you're looking for in a mentor, please don't hesitate to get in touch, even if you'd just like to chat. I'll be looking forward to hear from you!

I'm a young programmer, passionated by computers in general. I've worked in a startup as a back end developer, and now I'm working as a dev-ops in a bigger company. I like sharing my knowledge with people and guiding them to success, and I will be happy to help you with my expertise.

Welcome to my profile! I've been working as a Senior Engineer at Nykaa.com in Display Network Team(manages ads over multiple Nykaa Bussiness Units). I am writing software from my college days. I have 4+ years of professional experience, working closely with industry leaders and open source enthusiasts, designing and building scalable microservice systems with a user base of 100M+ users. I run a few apprenticeship programs for DSA, Python, and Web Development. I also, speak at open source community meetups, colleges, and local groups. I majorly work with Python, Javascript, and related technology. On the framework side, I have experience with Flask, Django. I would be highly interested to solve problems here at Codementor and help out people to reach their goals.

I used to be Ruby on Rails developer, but having been in hiatus for almost three years, I am now working as a Full-Stack JavaScript Developer. My fields of expertise include Meteor, Node.js and RabbitMQ. I also have a solid understanding of React and its lifecycle methods, but I still need improvement in design/CSS implementation work. During my free time, I tinker with IoT, electronics and recently, with iOS development (Swift and Objective C) and Go programming to expand my horizons.

“Solid guy. Has a clear understanding of C++ fundamentals and was patient and unafraid of helping with a rather subtle C++ bug that was also part of an algorithm TOO complex to explain in a single session. Meaning he had to help me debug WITHOUT understanding what the code actually does. Despite these obstacles he was able to give me not one but TWO possible approaches to solve the problem. And he managed to do so within 45 minutes of us discussing together (keeping my learning costs down for a problem that easily could've been very expensive for a run-of-the-mill tutor to deal with). While i'm not a C++ expert, I am a strong python3 dev, and I would gladly have hired Scott to work on one of my teams back when I was in the industry and strongly encourage you to book a session with him if you are on the fence.“

“As always, my session with Isaac was excellent. He is so knowledgeable and straight to the point. We are coming to the end of our development of my first app, with his skills and experience, the app is looking great. I will definitely be continuing future work with him, developing my Power Platform skills.“

“Amazing job. Had a complex installation to complete on a massive Angular application with many npm and other technical stuff to navigate and Opeoluwa was able to figure everything out and get my application running. I learned a lot and will continue to work with him.“
